Virginia winery ready to sell more vodka bottles

Nelson County, Va. (WVIR) – Virginia ABC stores show support for Ukraine by boycotting Russian products.Although this might be your chance to try some new Virginia spirits.
Silverback Distillery sources its vodka in Nelson County, so there won’t be any future distribution issues.Given ABC’s changes, its distiller, Lauren Riggleman, hopes they will sell a lot of vodka soon.
“The advantage of this is that we can turn the vodka around in about a week. So if we need to do more, we can do it,” Rigman said.
“We have used mash that local farmers come and pick up and use as fertilizer, cow feed, etc. So it’s kind of like a cyclical great thing between us and the farmers,” Rigman said.
